 Mission: The Chamber exists to advance the civic and commercial interests of its members and the Wood River Valley area in general.

Location: The Chamber’s Office and Welcome Center is located at 781 S. Main St. at the Werthheimer Welcome Center in Hailey and is open Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm and Saturday from 11am-6pm.

Chamber Board Leadership:  The Chamber is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of local community and business leaders.  The Board meets the last Wednesday of the month to conduct the business of The Chamber.  The Chamber Board members volunteer on various committees and community groups that encourage economic development in the Cities of Hailey, Ketchum, Bellevue and Sun Valley, help plan for community events and promote healthy business environment in our area.

President: Richard Stahl, richardandjenniferstahl@verizon.net

Richard Stahl is a retired planning professional who moved to Hailey from Pennsylvania in 2013.  He has been an active chamber member with the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce, joining the Hailey Chamber of Commerce in 2012. He is active in the community serving on The Chamber Board of Directors since 2013 and as president since 2016.  Rich graduated from Juniata College, attended the University of Akron and holds certification as a professional planner from the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is a studio potter with Bolder Mt Clayworks and is president of Caritas Chorale. He loves choral music and is an avid gardener. Richard is married to Jennifer Stahl.

 

Vice President: Todd Hunter,

As owner and operator of Idaho Lumber in Hailey, Todd will complete the year on The Chamber’s board of directors as vice president and lead the organization in 2018 as its next president.  Born and raised in southern Idaho, Todd spent most of his career outside the state. “My wife and I were very much looking forward to moving back to Idaho for several years and chose the Wood River Valley for the beauty of the area and its people,” Todd enthused.  “It’s been a significant life-change for our family, but everyone has been so welcoming and supportive, we truly love being a part of this community.”

Vaelene is the Financial Center Manager for Zions Bank in Hailey.  Vaelene has lived in the Wood River Valley for 12 years and is active in the community.  Enjoys all the outdoor events and hanging out with family and friends.

A Burley, Idaho native, Sandi Viau relocated to the Wood River Valley in August 2012 after a 20 year absence.  Sandi has an accounting degree from BSU, an MBA from Gonzaga, and currently runs her own CPA business.  She is the current treasurer for The Chamber, secretary for the Blaine County School District Finance Committee, and board treasurer for Winter Sun Horse Park nonprofit.  Her interests include skiing (with the grandchildren), hiking (with the grandchildren), biking (with the grandchildren), golf (enough of the grandchildren), paddle boarding (it depends) and a soccer “mom”.

Stacey Doby has lived in the Wood River Valley since 2011.  She works at St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Centers as the Senior Director of Physician Services.  She started her career in healthcare in 1990 working in Human Resources.  Stacey is married to Lance Doby and lives in Bellevue.  They have four children (all grown) between them and nine grandchildren.  Stacey’s daughter Lauren lives locally and also works at the hospital.  When not at work – you will find Stacey and Lance camping in the beautiful Idaho country.

Originally from New England, Mike McKenna is the community outreach coordinator for the Wood River Land Trust and an award-winning journalist and fishing guidebook author. Mike is a member of the board of directors for both The Chamber and the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association. When he’s not working, Mike can usually be found Nordic skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hiking and biking around the Wood River Valley, often with his wife, Brooke, and their two young sons and fifth generation Idahoans, Jack and Sam.
