Mission: The Chamber exists to advance the civic and commercial interests of its members and the Wood River Valley area in general.

Mary Austin Crofts fell in love with the Wood River Valley and moved here in the mid 70s. She worked in marketing, advertising and publishing until 1984 when she became the Executive Director of the Blaine County Recreation District. During her 20-year tenure, she was successful at bringing together the partnerships and funding to build the Wood River Trail System, the Harriman Trail, the North Valley Trails, the Blaine County Aquatic Center, tennis courts, parks and open space, access to the Big Wood River and public lands as well as creating hundreds of healthy active programs for children and adults. She worked with elected and appointed officials and staff in all of the cities and the county as well as state and federal agencies.
Mary is passionate about the community and making a difference for present and future generations. She is a firm believer in collaboration and supporting local business. After her work at the BCRD, she become the Executive Director of the Trailing of the Sheep Festival where she brought together the team that honored the Festival with dozens of local, national and international awards including the designation as one of the “Top Fall Festivals in the world.”
Crofts said of her appointment at the Chamber; “I am thrilled with the opportunity to work with the Board, membership and staff of The Chamber of Hailey & The Wood River Valley. We are going to accomplish great things together.”

Chamber Board Leadership: The Chamber is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of local community and business leaders. The Board meets the last Wednesday of the month to conduct the business of The Chamber. The Chamber Board members volunteer on various committees and community groups that encourage economic development in the Cities of Hailey, Ketchum, Bellevue and Sun Valley, help plan for community events and promote healthy business environment in our area.

As owner and operator of Idaho Lumber in Hailey, Todd completed the year 2017 on The Chamber’s board of directors as vice president and currently leads the organization in 2018 as its president. Born and raised in southern Idaho, Todd spent most of his career outside the state. “My wife and I were very much looking forward to moving back to Idaho for several years and chose the Wood River Valley for the beauty of the area and its people,” Todd enthused.

Stacey Doby has lived in the Wood River Valley since 2011. She works at St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Centers as the Senior Director of Physician Services. She started her career in healthcare in 1990 working in Human Resources. Stacey is married to Lance Doby and lives in Bellevue. They have four children (all grown) between them and nine grandchildren. Stacey’s daughter Lauren lives locally and also works at the hospital. When not at work – you will find Stacey and Lance camping in the beautiful Idaho country.

Originally from New England, Mike McKenna is the community outreach coordinator for the Wood River Land Trust and an award-winning journalist and fishing guidebook author. Mike is a member of the board of directors for both The Chamber and the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association. When he’s not working, Mike can usually be found Nordic skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hiking and biking around the Wood River Valley, often with his wife, Brooke, and their two young sons and fifth generation Idahoans, Jack and Sam.
