Snowmobiling is a great way to get into the backcountry for winter fun.
Snowmobile Information
There are many miles of groomed snowmobile trails and off-trail riding to be found throughout the region.
The Wood River Recreation Area, three miles west of Hailey and the Baker Creek area, ten miles north of Ketchum, offer groomed trail and off-trail riding in designated areas. Information for these areas is available here.
In the Smiley Creek and Stanley areas north of Sun Valley, you will find 170 miles of groomed trails, as well as fabulous off-trail riding. Guided trips, snowmobile rentals are available at Smiley Creek Lodge. The Fairfield area southwest of Hailey has 200 miles of trails and more off-trail riding options.
